The reason for this is extensive construction work on the exhibition and event hall on the Obere Au in Chur, which makes it impossible to host the event.
Construction of the new exhibition and event hall on the Obere Au, which will offer capacity for 6,500 people, will begin this year.
“It is a great pity for all of us that Big Air Chur 2025 will have to take a break. This event is a real passion project for us. Nevertheless, after numerous discussions and analyses together with the city of Chur and Swiss-Ski, we have come to the conclusion that holding the event, even in a reduced form, is not feasible under the given circumstances,” said the organizing committee.
Since its premiere in 2021, the City Event Big Air Chur has established itself as an integral part of the Swiss festival landscape and the Chur event calendar. After a short break, the organizers are looking forward to bringing the Big Air Chur back even more spectacularly in autumn 2026 – with new highlights and the usual unique atmosphere.
